Ubuntu 8.04 alpha 4: inclusi Transmission e Brasero

Ecco arrivato Ubuntu 8.04, che include, in questa release, interessanti novità, dal noto client per Bit Torrent “Transmission”, al software per masterizzazione Brasero.

Le principali novità sono:
• Xorg 7.3
• Linux kernel 2.6.24-5.8 (basato sul kernel 2.6.24 RC8)
• PulseAudio
• PolicyKit
• Firefox 3 Beta 2
• GNOME 2.21.4

Transmission

Sarà il nuovo client per bit torrent, ed andrà a rimpiazzare lo Gnome BitTorrent downloader. Questo client è molto usato dagli utenti mac os X.

Vinagre

Questo è il nuovo client VNC, e va a rimpiazzare xvnc4viewer.

World Clock & Weather

Sono le nuove applicazioni che saranno integrate nel pannello Gnome.
