Rilasciato Banshee 1.5.1, Guida all’ Installazione

Nella notte del 13 Ottobre il Team di Banshee ha rilasciato la versione definitiva del suo player multimediale.
A mio parere uno dei migliori in quanto è compatibile con qualunque player audio (Android compreso) e trasferire anche le cover.

Vediamo le novità in queste nuova versione:

New Shuffle Modes

Shuffle by artist or album let you listen to everything by an artist or on an album before jumping to a new random artist or album. Shuffle by rating or score lets you shuffle through your songs, with higher rated or scored tracks being more likely to play.

Auto DJ

This new feature gives you the option to keep your Play Queue filled with endless music. It builds on the shuffle modes work, letting you fill the queue randomly in artist, album, song, rating, or score mode.

Keep Playing Song Visible

The playing song is kept visible and selected in the track list.

Support WebOS Devices

Add support for WebOS devices

Support Samsung Galaxy Phones

Add support for the Samsung Galaxy Android Phone

Installazione

Editiamo i sources.list digitando da terminale

sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list

e incolliamo queste due righe per jaunty:

deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/banshee-team/ppa/ubuntu jaunty main

deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/banshee-team/ppa/ubuntu jaunty main

o queste per Karmic:

deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/banshee-team/ppa/ubuntu karmic main 

deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/banshee-team/ppa/ubuntu karmic main

Salviamo e chiudiamo.

Ora sempre da terminale aggiungiamo la chiave si sicurezza:

sudo apt-key adv –keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com –recv-keys 6E80C6B7

E aggiorniamo i repository con:

sudo apt-get update

Ora se avevamo Banshee già installato basterà aprire il Gestore Aggiornamenti da Sistema–>Amministrazione Altrimenti installiamo Banshee da terminale con:

sudo apt-get install banshee
